The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
The 17 Global Goals, as they are often termed, are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. The aim is to achieve three extraordinary things by 2030;
End extreme poverty
Fight inequality and injustice
Tackle climate change
We have kindly been given permission to share a link to The World’s Largest Lesson’s excellent collection of lesson plans, relevant to each of the Global Goals. We believe these lesson plans will be an extremely handy resource. We would like students to be able to relate the SDGs to Kate’s expeditions and incorporate the Global Goals into the design of their own activities.
